1. IntroductionAs for aerodynamic journal bearings, if merely relying on the rigid contact surfaces, several challenges will be faced, such as excessively high demands for processing accuracy and rigorous material properties [1]. Once contact friction happens, severe damage may occur to the bearing structure; hence, the operational stability, bearing capacity, and service life can be negatively affected [2,3].
