1. Introduction Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is a type of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) crucial for the healthy growth of aquatic animals. Adequate intake of DHA enhances the activity and function of immune cells and strengthening the immune defence system [1]. Besides, it also possesses antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, mitigating the adverse effects of stress on aquatic animals and improving their survival rate and adaptability [2, 3].
