Editors’ note: This is part of our series on the ICC’s Policy on the Crime of Gender Persecution. In December 2022, the International Criminal Court’s Office of the Prosecutor (ICC OTP) launched its Policy on Gender Persecution. The Policy reflects the OTP’s existing commitment to focus its resources and attention on investigating and prosecuting sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) crimes, including the crime of gender persecution.
