The spring window of the NCAA's transfer portal for Division I college football opened on Wednesday, allowing entry to players from across the country. Entering the portal doesn't guarantee players will transfer from their current program. It means only that they can engage with other teams and, based off the scope of their discussions — which could range from NIL deals to playing time to NFL development and more — decide whether to transfer or return.

USC women's basketball experienced a worst-case scenario Monday during the Trojans' second-round game vs. Mississippi State in the women's NCAA Tournament. Star sophomore guard JuJu Watkins, on the short list for the best player in all of women's college basketball, went down with an apparent knee injury on a fast break in the first quarter. She was bumped by a Mississippi State defender en route down the floor and immediately crumpled to the court, grimacing in pain as she clutched her right knee.
