The only gearbox the Dodge Viper ever rolled off the assembly line with was a manual transmission. But that hasn’t stopped one Nashville-area auto shop from converting a fourth-gen convertible to shift via a dual-clutch automatic transmission. We've seen Vipers with torque-converter automatic swaps before; same goes for sequential shifters. But a DCT? That's a new one for us. We first discovered the project through a video posted online by Erin Carpenter, owner of Carma Performance.

A Michigan-born car nut and racing enthusiast, Zac Palmer is talking about or thinking about cars somewhere. He bought his first when he was still 15, a 2001 Acura Integra GS-R that still resides in the garage today. It's now joined by a 2004 Porsche Boxster S, and there will be even less practical additions to follow. Palmer worked at both Autoweek and Autoblog before joining R&T.

Really massive improvement for the refreshed V60 Polestar Engineered. Always thought the powertrain was a little clunky before, but the more potent electric motor and turbo-only engine makes it one smooth operator. And yeah it still looks ridiculously good. https://t.co/LLATK2R43x

The lineup for this rendition of @therealautoblog 's Tech of the Year competition. A pretty eclectic group of fun, useful and flashy tech features to test in all of these. https://t.co/fxe7wcLM0A

Here’s the 2024 F-150! Looks a whole lot like it did before, but I dig the new lighting. Also, peep the new, fancy tailgate in the one on stage. @therealautoblog https://t.co/cNV1NUfkVs
