Komets beat Iowa 4-1, will face Toledo in next round

The Fort Wayne Komets defeated the Iowa Heartlanders 4-1 Tuesday night, advancing to the next round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs. Iowa dominated the first period physically and went into the intermission up 1-0. The Komets regrouped in the second and would go on to score four unanswered goals to win Tuesday’s decisive Game 7 at the Coliseum. The Komets advance to the next round and will take on the Toledo Walleye, who swept the Indy Fuel in their series.
