The Green Bay Packers released first-year defensive end Jeremiah Martin to make room for rookie receiver Sam Brown Jr., who was signed to the team's 90-man offseason roster on Thursday. Martin, 25, signed to the Packers practice squad in December of last year. He was retained with a futures deal in January. An injury might have played a role in his release; Martin wasn't available to practice with the team during Wednesday's OTA session open to the media.
