    Team USA has named New York Yankees star Aaron Judge as its team captain for the 2026 World Baseball Classic, MLB announced Monday. “CAPTAIN AMERICA,” MLB wrote in a post to X announcing Judge as team captain. Judge, a two-time MVP and six-time All-Star, serves as team captain for the Yankees since 2023. The slugging outfielder didn’t play in the most recent WBC in March 2023 after re-signing a nine-year, $360 million contract with the Yankees just three months earlier in December 2022.

    HOUSTON -- Kyren Lacy, the former LSU Tigers wide receiver and a prospect in this month’s NFL Draft, has died, the university announced Sunday. He was 24. Lacy died in an apparent suicide in his car while being pursued by police in Houston early Sunday, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s office. The pursuit ended when Lacy crashed his car, after which authorities approached his car and found him dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Passengers were stranded inside the plane on the runway for about 30 minutes before Bradshaw, 76, was able to help open the plane door, CBS Pittsburgh reports.
