On Saturday the Denver Nuggets put the finishing touches on their first round series against the Los Angeles Clippers with a game seven blowout…and the next day they got on an airplane to Oklahoma. Waiting for them is the Oklahoma City Thunder, the top seed in the West and a well-rested squad thanks to their first-round sweep of the Memphis Grizzlies. It’s been all aces for the Thunder this season.

The Denver Nuggets fell behind the Los Angeles Clippers after a hot start and then couldn’t complete their comeback in game six of their playoff series. James Harden had a big first half, Kawhi Leonard had a big second half and the Nuggets will have to win game seven if they are going to advance to the next round of the playoffs. Nikola Jokic had twenty-five points, Jamal Murray had twenty-one but it wasn’t enough.

The Denver Nuggets came to play in game six of their first round series against the Los Angeles Clippers. They end up never trailing in a blowout victory to take a 3-2 lead in the series. Jamal Murray was brilliant scoring forty-three points while Nikola Jokic chipped in with a ho-hum triple double. Denver got up early and asserted their will over the course of the game before blowing it wide open in the second half. Now they head back to Los Angeles looking to clinch the series.

The Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Clippers have played one heck of series through four games. One game needed overtime, one game was won on the closest buzzer beater in the history of the playoffs and one game the Nuggets had two shots to tie in the final five seconds but came up short. Save for a game three dud from Denver, this has been the most competitive series of the playoffs and the only one in the entire league that is even after four games.

I used to hate on the Nuggets for giving out towels instead of shirts but then they gave out shirts and everyone in the arena was too cool to put them on. Nuggets fans deserve lame towels
