As part of a rash of hoaxes throughout Wyoming, Buffalo Police Department officers responded to Buffalo High School on Monday morning for a report of an active shooter inside the school. The report was unsubstantiated. According to the police department, authorities received a report shortly before 8:30 a.m. that there was an active shooter inside the school. “Immediately following the call, school administration was notified of the potential threat,” a prepared statement from the department said.

Forty-two of Buffalo’s future business leaders earned a trip to Atlanta this summer and in the process set a school record. Future Business Leaders of America advisers Kami Kennedy and Michelle Dahlberg said the previous record was 36. In all, 70 students represented Buffalo at the state competition March 15-17 in Laramie. FBLA is a student organization at high schools throughout the U.S. that prepares students for careers in the business world, according to the organization’s national website.
