    SINGAPORE - Heaps of plastic trash on Singapore’s beaches are a common sight during Singapore’s two main monsoon seasons, but a new study has found that most of the debris originated from offshore sources. The study, commissioned by the National Environment Agency (NEA) in 2021, aimed to better understand the possible sources of plastic waste on Singapore’s shores and how they ended up there. The findings were published on NEA’s website on Jan 13, 2025.

The involvement of the immune system in the pathology of MS is well established, particularly the adaptive T cell response, and there has been a particular focus on the IL-17-producing subset of Th17 cells and their role in driving disease.
