Qatar says there have been no casualties so far. Several reports say Iran has also targeted other U.S. bases in the region. The White House is closely monitoring the situation. Airspace over Qatar closed down today.

    President Trump says the U.S. has bombed Iranian nuclear facilities. Trump made the announcement on Truth Social, where he said American bombers attacked three nuclear sites, including the fortified Fordow facility. All planes are reportedly out of Iranian airspace. The attacks come after Trump said earlier this week he would decide within two weeks if the U.S. would attack Iran. Israel and Iran have been going back and forth striking each other for more than a week.

The crash was reported yesterday evening on the U.S. 83 Relief Route Connector between Penitas and Palmview. The trailer wound up falling from the overpass, scattering its load on the ground below. The truck driver and two people from the other vehicle were hurt. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

    The long-awaited new courthouse in Hidalgo County is officially open. Construction on the seven-story court complex began in 2018 and the doors were supposed to open in 2021. Construction issues delayed the project for several years. Visitors seemed impressed with the new courthouse yesterday, commenting on amenities like monitors directing people to different courtrooms and offices. The old courthouse will be demolished to create more parking for the new building.
