Today is looking better and better! The trend has been our friend the past few days with keeping todays forecast completely dry, just cloudy with highs near 70 degrees. Although, some sun will be peeking out during the afternoon and evening hours. Not the warmest day for the beach, pool but any outdoor event should be a go with no annoying light rain like yesterday.

We ended the week with some nice, comfortable conditions but, for the 15th, yes FIFTENTH Saturday in a row (for parts of the state), rain is expected… A steadier light rain will develop this morning, tapering off from north to south Saturday afternoon. Drying out later in this afternoon/evening with the exception being Southern CT where it stays wet. To make matters worse, it is also a cool day with highs only in the 60s! Temps should be near 80.

What an odd weather day yesterday! Peaks of sun, heavy burst of rain, a gusty wind at times as an unusually strong low pressure system crossed right over CT. The storm has finally moved on by. Today will be drier with partly sunny skies, breezy and cool for the first afternoon of June.

We will flip the calendar to JUNE this weekend and we are going to flip our weather pattern as well–just not soon enough!Expect Steady and heavy rain/thunderstorms, local flooding until around 9 am thanks to a strong area of low pressure passing right overhead. While the rain will be steady and heavy through this morning, it will be tapering to scattered showers Saturday afternoon. Some steady rain could return for a bit this evening.

Do you remember Memorial Day Weekend 2024? Temperatures were in the 70s and 80s!! After a few very spring-like days with clouds, breezy winds, scattered showers and cool temps, we finally turn the corner to more sun and milder temps for today, Memorial Day 2025. The best for last our of this three day holiday weekend! Today will feature more sun than clouds along with temperatures near 70, if not into the low 70s! Still not really ideal beach or boating weather day but not bad either.
