The changes in the sports publishing landscape over the last decade have been inescapable. For a time, I thought we were merely seeing a former pattern repeating; MMA specifically has always created a high volume of fan turnover. It demands a lot of time and attention, has very little regard for history, and chews up talent at a remarkable rate. People get in, get addicted, get saturated, and get burnt out.
