VISTA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — New protected bike lanes are under construction in Vista that intend to keep bicyclists, pedestrians, and drivers safer by separating the bike and vehicle lanes with asphalt beams and green flex posts. The protected lanes stretch through many of the major roadways throughout Vista. “I rode my bike here and I’ve never felt safer,” Vista City Councilmember Corrina Contreras said. She has been working toward getting more protected bike lanes in the city for years.

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Retired 11th Judicial Circuit Judge Jonathon Colby, a San Diego resident, testified for the first time in his life on Tuesday. He was one of the five people who testified during Erik and Lyle Menendez’s resentencing. “I think they are deserving of not dying in prison decades from now,” Colby said. Colby met Erik and Lyle while volunteering at Donovan Correctional Facility, and spoke in favor of them being resentenced.
