Since December, four Northeast Ohio dogs and their human companions have been hot on the trail of invasive spotted lanternflies, sniffing out egg masses laid in the Cleveland Metroparks. The team includes German shepherd Argent , black lab Juno, Australian shepherd cattle dog mix Rio and Bronco, an 8-year-old Cardigan Welsh Corgi. Together, the team of dogs lead their owners through the Metroparks, nose to the ground following the scent of the spotted lanternfly egg masses.

An exhibition at the Cleveland Botanical Garden features more than 30 artists whose work explores the role nature plays in overcoming painful emotions and experiences. The botanical garden partnered with local gallery Deep Roots Experience to bring together The Nature of Healing, an exhibition exploring ways the outdoors can help process grief and trauma.

Anyone who knows me knows I'm not much of an outdoorsy person. In fact, if "indoorsy" were a word, I'd consider it one of my defining characteristics. As a kid, I did spend a fair amount of time playing outside on playgrounds or with friends in our front yards, but I didn't feel a desire to explore the world around me. I felt the most comfortable inside with my cat, my Bratz dolls and Wii Tennis queued up on the TV. My preference for the indoors persisted into adulthood.

Cleveland released its third Climate Action Plan Tuesday, intended to mitigate climate change effects and help the city reach its emission reduction goals. The plan outlines strategies, projects and programming to improve air and water quality and ensure climate resilience. The 43 goals outlined in the plan cover six categories relating to clean energy, clean transportation, nature-based solutions, the built environment, climate resiliency and waste reduction.
