1 Introduction Sonodynamic therapy (SDT) is an emerging treatment method that utilizes the sonosensitizers to produce reactive oxygen species (ROS, including singlet oxygen (1O2), hydroxyl radical (·OH), and superoxide anion radical (·O2−)) under ultrasound (US) irradiation,[1-7] thus inducing apoptosis and necrosis of cancer cells for tumor treatment.
