The M32 northbound will be closed between Junction One and Junction 19 of the M4, with no access to the M4 eastbound. These works will take place from 21:30 on September 30 until 07:00 on October 2 and works will only affect drivers between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00. The diversion is via the M4 westbound.

    A birth centre that will have been closed for two years next month remains shut due to staffing shortages. Cossham Birth Centre in Kingswood suspended deliveries in October 2022 and redirected women in labour to the Mendip Birth Centre at Southmead Hospital. Despite initially being described as a "temporary" closure, Cossham Birth Centre remains shut. The specialist birthing centre was also closed in 2018 for several months due to a shortage of midwives.

    Bristol City Council and the West of England Combined Authority (WECA) are investing in high street regeneration in three areas of Bristol with new grants for businesses. Those with businesses in Old Market and on Stokes Croft and Christmas Steps can apply for funding for extending opening hours in an attempt to rejuvenate Bristol's shopping districts.
