Fifth-seeded Vanderbilt Soccer unexpectedly fell short against 12th-seeded Alabama in the SEC Tournament opening round Nov. 3 at the Brosnaham Soccer Complex in Pensacola, Florida. The Commodores took an immediate hit when Alabama’s Nadia Ramadan scored in the ninth minute of the match. The Crimson Tide’s momentum remained strong, as Zivana Labovic scored just nine minutes later, extending the Crimson Tide’s lead to 2-0 just 18 minutes into the game.

The Vanderbilt Men’s Golf team traveled to St. Simons Island, Ga. to compete in the 2024 SEC Men’s Golf Championship from April 24-28. The tournament was held on the par-70 Seaside Course at Sea Island Golf Club. Vanderbilt’s lineup included Gordon Sargent, Matthew Riedel, Jackson Van Paris, Cole Sherwood and William Moll. After the first round of stroke play, Vanderbilt sat in first place after carding an 11-under 269. All five Commodores finished under-par during their first 18 holes of play.

This past weekend, Vanderbilt Women’s Tennis played two dual matches at home against Florida and South Carolina. In Friday’s dual match, the Commodores played a tough match against the Gators, but Florida left with a 4-3 win. In Sunday’s dual match, Vanderbilt came up short against South Carolina, again losing 4-3. FloridaVanderbilt started Friday’s match by losing the doubles point to Florida.

It’s the end of the regular season! The standings are set and it’s finally time for the madness to begin this March. We decided that, in preparation for the SEC tournament, we would give the conference one last ranking to familiarize ourselves with all the wonderful teams competing this week, comparing them to a classic form of cinema: the Disney Channel Original Movie (or DCOM for short).
