U.S. President Donald Trump said China has agreed to remove non-tariff barriers to U.S. imports as he announced a de-escalation of his trade war with Beijing, according to Akayla Gardner with Bloomberg News. The agreement negotiated in Geneva announced both countries would temporarily lower duties to give them more time to negotiate, Bloomberg reported. In a joint statement, China said it would suspend or cancel non-tariff countermeasures imposed on the U.S. since April 2.
