Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orban and his Slovak counterpart Robert Fico seem natural allies on Ukraine. During this autumn’s election campaign, Fico echoed baseless Russian propaganda about Ukraine being a “Nazi state” and called for an end to Slovak military support for Kyiv.
