5 News

5 News is the news program aired by Channel 5 in the UK, produced by ITN from the headquarters of Northern & Shell on Lower Thames Street in London. Starting on January 1, 2005, Sky News took over the contract to deliver news for Channel 5, taking over from ITN, which had been providing news since the channel's launch in 1997. On February 14, 2011, the news service was renamed back to 5 News, after being known as Five News from 2002 to 2011. On February 20, 2012, ITN once again became the provider of the news service. On November 5, 2015, Emma Crosby, the anchor of 5 News at 5, announced her departure after four years to start a family. She was succeeded by Sian Williams on January 4, 2016, following a period of interim anchors from Channel 5's team of journalists.
