Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, established in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1917, is the largest global organization for professionals in nutrition and dietetics. It was founded by a pioneering group of women who aimed to assist the government in conserving food and enhancing public health during World War I. Today, the Academy boasts a membership of over 112,000 qualified professionals, including registered dietitian nutritionists, nutrition and dietetics technicians, and other experts in the field who hold various degrees in nutrition and dietetics, as well as students. The Academy is dedicated to promoting health and advancing the nutrition and dietetics profession through research, education, and advocacy efforts.
