¡Es tiempo de Fiesta! En Estados Unidos, el Mes de la Herencia Hispana se celebra del 15 de septiembre al 15 de octubre. Hay muchas razones por las que me siento orgullosa de formar parte de la comunidad hispana, especialmente durante esta época del año. En mi casa, celebramos y honramos nuestra herencia guatemalteca y salvadoreña todos los días a través de nuestra comida, música y tradiciones familiares. La cultura hispana es muy diversa en Estados Unidos, pero es sólo una parte de lo que soy.

It’s Fiesta time! In the United States, Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15 through October 15. There are many reasons why I feel a sense of pride to be part of the Hispanic community, especially during this time of year. At my house, we celebrate and honor our Guatemalan and Salvadoran heritage every day through our food, music, and family traditions. Hispanic culture is so diverse within the United States, yet it’s only one part of who I am.
