Boeing and Qatar Airways closed a massive deal for up to 210 787 Dreamliner and 777X widebody jets on Wednesday in Doha, during an official visit by US President Donald Trump. It is the company’s first direct order with Boeing and includes 20 firm orders for the 737-8 and 10 purchase options. Deliveries are expected to occur through 2032.

The 737 MAX, its workhorse, had 29 aircraft delivered, the lowest level of the year. But it could have been different if Chinese airlines had not returned some jets at the request of Xi Jinping’s government.
