And…it’s tax day. At least we’ve all gotten it over with, right? If you are right now looking at those tax payments (and perhaps quarterly estimated taxes at the same time!) being deducted from your bank account and kind of want to hide under the covers indefinitely and cry — take some comfort in my Food Network story, where I rounded up 21 Tax Day Food Deals To Ease the Pain. A kind of different kind of Monday as I’m headed in a few hours on the NYC media preview inaugural cruise of the new Norwegian Aqua and will be posting/writing from there for the next few days (and hoping to run into a lot of friends while I’m at it!). Sending samples for media to try is a pretty big part of the outreach efforts, but how you do it can make a big difference. Recently, a beloved cheese brand reached out with a really fun offer — and a great idea that others can learn from. The concept behind the pitch was that this can be a hectic time and it can get exhausting to decide what to make for dinner each and every night - so they offered to take the stress out of one night by sending dinner using their cheeses.
