Newsweek
Newsweek is a well-known American weekly magazine that was established in 1933. Throughout the 20th century, it gained popularity as a leading news source, featuring many distinguished editors-in-chief over the years. In 1961, The Washington Post Company purchased Newsweek, and it remained part of their portfolio until 2010. However, between 2008 and 2012, the magazine faced financial challenges that led to the end of its print version and a shift to an all-digital format by the end of 2012. The print edition made a comeback in March 2014 under new ownership. In 2013, IBT Media announced it had acquired Newsweek from IAC, which included the brand and its online presence, but did not include The Daily Beast. In 2017, IBT Media rebranded as Newsweek Media Group, but by 2018, they reverted to the IBT Media name after making Newsweek an independent entity.
