Hi everyone! We have moved successfully and I am absolutely drained. I am also working on two books right now alongside unpacking/packing + settling in + planning a wedding so I haven’t had time/energy to work on a newsletter!I miss you guys though so I’m reposting a newsletter from 2022 that I absolutely LOVE and feel that many of you didn’t get to see. Ah yes… I finally summoned the willpower to make this newsletter. After nine years in this city, we’re finally moving at the end of the month. Adam & I will be spending a couple months in Baltimore with his family, and then a couple months in Taiwan with my family. We’ll be doing lots of travel, soul searching and exploring. The thing with New York is that it sucks you in, and for nine years I was sucked in.

Ever since I’ve emerged from the depths of depression, I feel like I’m a little baby learning to regulate my emotions healthily. I think I did a pretty good job last night at reframing my thinking in a way that I actually believed it. It also stopped me from my usual spiral so I’m very proud. Anyways, I wanted to document it and I miss when I made shorter newsletter posts. I’m still in disbelief that I was DUPED by cous cous.

Always fun to do hourly comics day even if the day was a little up and down. It’s always so fun to look back each year and see how much quicker I’ve gotten at drawing these comics. I first took part in it in 2022 and I remember struggling so much to draw it in time! This newsletter has been training me like a marathon and I did this year’s soooo easily.

Been a while since I’ve done a fun little comic that wasn’t related to any book stuff and just my pure stupidity!! Feels good man. Anywayyssss in other book news… I received ONE advance copy of PIG TOWN PARTY and holy craparoni!! It looks AMAZING. There were some production issues with my first book so for this book I decided to take matters into my own hands and do all the scanning and color correcting myself.
