But as we all agree with, getting wins are oh so much better and vastly more fun. That was further proven this past Friday when Angel City FC took to the pitch to take on Washington Spirit in DC, and not only came away with the win, but did so in the most chaotic, dramatic, historic, wild fashion possible.

Revenge surely is sweet, but even sweeter than getting your get back, is doing so in a way that gives hope for the future. It’s no secret the start of the season has been a bit rocky for LAFC, but as the team move further past the Concacaf Champions Cup loss, they have begun to find their form. This weekend they got the chance to host Houston Dynamo just weeks after the Texas side beat LAFC, but this time around there was no rotated squad, no focus on Champions Cup, and Los Angeles were at home.

The best thing about soccer, is that over the course of a season, you will see opponents twice. Two chances to make your rivals unhappy, two chances to assert dominance over a club, and in the case of LAFC this weekend, when you fumble one meeting and get humbled, you have that second chance at setting things right. Last time these two teams met, LAFC were in the middle of a balancing act as they tried their best to juggle MLS regular season action and Concacaf Champions Cup competition.
