The 2025 Annecy Festival has unveiled the official selection of feature films in competition for the 49th edition, which runs June 8-14. The announcement was made by Mickaël Marin, CITIA CEO, and Artistic Director Marcel Jean. The short films in competition were revealed last month. Out of the approximately 130 feature films submitted, 11 have been selected in the Official Competition.

The Academy’s Board of Governors has just announced its 2025 awards seasons dates as well as a series of approved awards rules and campaign promotional regulations for the 98th Academy Awards. As previously announced, the 98th Oscars will air live on ABC on Sunday, March 15, 2026. In a procedural change, Academy members must now watch all nominated films in each category to be eligible to vote in the final Oscars round.
