Adapting the iconic, block-based design aesthetic of Mojang’s beloved Minecraft videogame into the hit feature film comedy adventure, The Minecraft Movie, posed an enormous number of hurdles for director Jared Hess and Oscar-winning Production VFX Supervisor Dan Lemmon. Tasked with helping translate the iconic pixelated world into something cinematically engaging, while remaining true to its visual DNA, was Wētā FX, who delivered 450 VFX shots on the film.

Apple TV+ has shared with AWN an exclusive clip from its upcoming 2D musical kids’ special, Lulu Is a Rhinoceros, set to premiere globally on May 30. Based on the beloved children’s book of the same name by Jason and Allison Flom, the project follows a rhinoceros on a quest to spread kindness. In the clip, Lulu's volleyball game doesn't go as planned... the other players question why she doesn’t have pointy ears... or play in the mud... or have horns.
