Pacific Green Technologies, the global energy storage company, has sold all its shares in a battery energy storage (BESS) project at Limestone Coast in Australia to Intera Renewables. This is a renewable energy platform majority owned by Australia-based asset manager Palisade Investment Partners, for A$460 million ($293 million). The Limestone Coast North Energy Park, which houses a 250MW/500MWh BESS, will begin commercial operations in early 2027, it said.

Eternity Technologies, the industrial battery maker for motive and network power, has bought a production facility from Enersys India in Vijayawada, India. It plans on “significantly investing” into the facility by making it into a production hub for lead-acid batteries, with plans to increase efficiency and upgrade equipment and will make sure to adhere to the highest environmental standards, it said.

StoreDot, the Israeli innovator of fast charging EV batteries, now has announced a new 4695 cylindrical battery format. With 46mm diameter and 95mm height, it offers several advantages for electric vehicles (EVs), according to StoreDot founder and CEO Doron Myersdorf. One of the major steps forward is Increased energy density. Compared to smaller cylindrical cells like the 2170, the 4695 format allows for a significant increase in energy density.

As antimony reaches new price highs, two mining projects have been snapped up. Mineral exploration company Military Metals of Vancouver, British Columbia, completed the final cash payment to take full ownership of the Last Chance Antimony-Gold Property in Nevada, US. Financial details were not disclosed. Originally discovered in 1880, the Last Chance antimony-gold deposit had limited production until the early 1960s for US military use, it said.
