Darcy Nelson is a Colorado artist with a voice that sounds like morning sunshine. Her new single “River Wash Me” is one of this year’s best – and its release coincides with Earth Day. Tan Cologne — the New Mexico-based duo of Lauren Green and Marissa Macias — will release their new album, Unknown Beyond, on June 20 via Labrador Records. Written, performed, and recorded alone at their home in Taos, Northern New Mexico, the band fell into these songs as they grappled with familial loss and grief over the change of childhood geographies. Veering away from the organic psychedelia of their earlier efforts, this album revels in atmospheres of droning dream-pop and ambient shoegaze.
