Every year, the AKO (the umbrella organization of all kashrus organizations) updates the list of supermarkets to inform us of where it’s permissible to buy chametz. While we know that our local kosher supermarkets sell their chametz, it’s not always so clear when it comes to larger chain stores, which might be Jewish owned, or might be supplied by Jewish distributors who did not sell chametz.
