North of the border, O-Pee-Chee by comparison was selling the equivalent of 50%-60% of those numbers in Canada. At the time a complete set of 1974-75 Topps hockey cards could be bought for $4.95-6.95, the cheapest of any set.

Topps and O-Pee-Chee would each release an identical 528-card Premier Series I set at the end of October 1993 featuring 25 rookies notably Kirk Maltby, Dallas Drake, Mattias Norstrom, Darren McCarty, and Jocelyn Thibault.

BOXSCORE | March 22, 2024 - The 1937-38 O-Pee-Chee V304E set would be the last of the 1930's OPC releases before restarting in 1968-69 when interest in the National Hockey League grew due to expansion. The set brings a return to the use of color previously used in the V304A-V304C sets before the company issued a black-and-white die-cut which is the most collectible of any OPC set.
