The Branson Tri-Lakes News serves as the community newspaper for Branson, Taney County, and Stone County in Missouri. It has a rich history, being linked to some of the earliest publications in Taney County. Since 2009, the newspaper has been printed twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, after previously being published five times a week.

Three Galena students and their Science teacher recently attended Student Government Day at the state capitol thanks to rotarians. On Wednesday, April 9, the Rotary Club of Table Rock Lake financially sponsored three students and one teacher from Galena to spend the day in Jefferson City. Monica Mueller from the Rotary Club of Table Rock Lake (TRL) in Branson West chaperoned the teacher and students.

A group of young, aspiring chefs were able to meet one of the queens of the culinary world at Branson Landing on Saturday, April 26. The members of Buchanan Intermediate School’s “Cooking Club” were invited for a personal meet and greet with Paula Deen at her restaurant. The students were able to meet Deen, take photos, get autographs and learn a little about cooking from one of the world’s best known celebrity chefs.

The Branson High School Vocal Music Department saw their students excel at the recent 2025 MSHSAA State Choir Large Ensemble Contest. The competition was held on Thursday, April 17 in Nixa and all three BHS ensembles received “exemplary” ratings for their performances, the highest ratings the students could earn. “I am so proud and honored to stand in front of such amazing people every day,” Vocal Director Jacob Carlew told Branson Tri-Lakes News.

The Stone County Health Department (SCHD) is issuing an urgent warning after the confirmation of the first case of measles in Missouri was diagnosed in Taney County, Missouri. “This development has prompted health officials to take immediate action to protect the public health. Measles is one of the most contagious viral infections that can lead to serious complications in young children, pregnant women and individuals with weakened immune systems,” states the Stone County Health Department.
