BT Sport is a collection of sports television channels offered by BT Consumer, a branch of BT Group, in the UK and Ireland. It was launched on August 1, 2013, and its channels are located at the former International Broadcast Centre at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London. Viewers in the UK can access BT Sport through BT TV, Sky, and Virgin Media platforms. The network has exclusive live broadcasting rights in the UK for 42 Premier League matches each season and up to 75 Aviva Premiership Rugby matches. Additionally, BT Sport has exclusive rights to major competitions such as the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and various football leagues including Serie A, Ligue 1, the Bundesliga, and the Primeira Liga. Other events covered by BT Sport include the FA Community Shield, FA Trophy, MotoGP, FIH Hockey World League, and the Anglo-Welsh Cup. BT Sport also shares broadcasting rights for the FA Cup with the BBC, the Scottish Professional Football League with Sky Sports and BBC Alba, as well as rugby union Champions and Challenge Cups in collaboration with Sky Sports.
