    Norma Jean Conners, 82, of Waterford, passed away on March 24, 2025, surrounded by her three precious daughters, Kelly, Jackey, and Tracey, along with her loving family. Norma was born on Jan. 25, 1943, at Kenosha Hospital in Kenosha to Donald and Marjory LaMeer. She grew up in Salem with her two brothers, Bob and Bill. She attended Salem Grade School and then went to Salem-Central High School (Westosha), graduating in 1960.

    Erwin R. (Bud) Vorpagel, of Pardeeville and formerly Burlington, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025 peacefully in his sleep. Born in Milwaukee on June 13, 1936, he was the son of Harry and Lillian (Zarnstorff) Vorpagel. His early life was spent in Genoa City. He attended Bloomfield area grade schools and graduated from Lake Geneva High School. On Dec. 11, 1981 he was united in marriage to the love of his life Carol (Linneman) Miller. They shared 43 wonderful years together.

    Loraine Zinnen passed away peacefully on March 28, 2025. Loraine was born in Burlington on June 8, 1927. She is the daughter of Henry and Eleanor (Prailes) Seubert. She was educated at St Mary’s Grade School and graduated from St. Mary’s High School (Catholic Central High School) Class of 1945. On Dec. 29, 1948 she married John E. Zinnen at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Burlington. Following John’s Air Force Service, in 1954 they moved to the east shore of Eagle Lake in Kansasville.

    James L. Gulla, 86, of Burlington, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Aurora Medical Center in Burlington. Born in Virginia, Minnesota on May 7, 1938, he was the son of Frank and Phyllis (nee Tousignant) Gulla. His early life was spent in Virginia, Minnesota and Superior. He attended Virginia Junior College for two years and graduated from the University of Superior with a Master’s Degree in Education. On March 24, 1956, he was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Janet Schultze.

    It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Richard H. Gosch, who departed this life peacefully on March 25, 2025 at the age of 91. Born in Melrose Park, Illinois, Richard moved to Maywood, Illinois during high school and quickly fell in love with Sara Mathewson. After many months of walking well out of his way to carry her books home, the two were wed in 1954. They later lived in Westchester, Illinois and Burlington. Richard was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
