Protest action along Malibongwe Drive has led to multiple road closures and heavy traffic disruption today, Monday, 12 May. Tyres were set alight, prompting closures between Malibongwe Drive and Potsdam Road. Motorists travelling on the N7 southbound are advised to seek alternative routes, as only one of two lanes remains open and delays are building. Additional closures are in effect between Malibongwe Drive and Rivergate in both directions. The N7 north ramp towards Malibongwe is also closed.
