    The Knight Rider Historians have done it again. Somehow, these superfans tracked down a very special, very specific celebrity-owned car. In case you haven't figured it out yet, the celebrity is The Hoff himself, David Hasselhoff. As for the car, it's a 1985 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am – a vehicle not extraordinary on its own. But if you know Hoff and Knight Rider, you know this is very extraordinary car indeed. But perhaps not in the way you think.

    The head of electric vehicle manufacturer Rivian says that its next generation of smaller EVs will make getting into a Rivian less expensive. But that doesn't apply just to the new R2 and R3 models with their smaller size and lower price tags. RJ Scaringe also thinks that the new EVs will make the R1S and R1T more affordable.

But the Korean automaker's plan to launch only EVs from 2025 hasn't panned out, and so starting late last year, reports started to come out saying Genesis was working on alternatives. First, an extended-range hybrid, and later reports of more conventional hybrid models.
