Cathy, a certified parent coach, is deeply dedicated to assisting parents, fueled by her personal experience with her child's battle with substance use. She authored "The Compassion Antidote: A Path to Change for You and Your Child Struggling with Substance Use." Utilizing a research-driven program grounded in four decades of clinical studies, Cathy empowers parents to encourage their teens or young adults facing challenges with alcohol or drugs to pursue positive change. Through her outreach, Cathy creates a supportive community for those who need help caring for themselves or their loved ones. She is trained in Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT) through the Center for Motivation and Change and serves as a parent coach with the Partnership to End Addiction. Cathy's goal is to equip parents with the clarity, courage, and resources necessary to guide their children toward recovery.

    As a parent, it is helpful to have ideas so you can “step into the solution” and help your son or daughter change. Dr. Robb Kelly has had his own struggle with alcohol. He knows what it’s like to feel helpless. Drinking can lead to losing your family and becoming homeless. For a time, Dr. Kelly lived on the streets in Manchester in the UK. Finally, he realized he couldn’t stop drinking, was ready to change, and, with help, started on the road to recovery.
