The Center for International Maritime Security (CIMSEC) is a non-profit organization with a 501(c)3 status that focuses on international maritime security through content submitted by its readers. Established in 2012, CIMSEC has grown to include 20 international chapters and boasts over 3,000 members and subscribers across 60 countries as of 2021. The organization maintains a neutral stance, promoting a variety of viewpoints because it believes that diverse perspectives enhance our comprehension of the challenges and opportunities in the maritime domain.
