When it officially launches next month, the Royal Caribbean Icon of the Seas cruise ship will be the largest the world has ever seen. It weighs more than 250,000 tons. It can accommodate more than 7,500 passengers. It is just under 1,200 feet in length, just over 210 feet wide. In the corner is a Civil War-era cot, folded up and somewhat tattered around the edges but still in fine condition given its age. Under glass and key is a replica Derringer pistol, the exact kind used by John Wilkes Booth to assassinate President Abraham Lincoln in April 1865.
