CHQR is a radio station situated in Calgary, Alberta, and is owned by Corus Entertainment. It broadcasts on AM 770, primarily focusing on talk radio content. Most of CHQR's weekday shows are created in-house, with only one program being produced externally. Additionally, CHQR serves as the official radio broadcaster for the Calgary Stampeders. It is noteworthy that CHQR is the last AM station in Calgary to transmit using C-QUAM AM Stereo technology. Classified as a Class B station, it operates on the clear-channel frequency of 770 kHz. The station's studios are based on Barclay Parade Southwest, right in downtown Calgary, while its transmitters are located to the south of the Calgary city limits, near De Winton. As per a PPM data report by BBM Canada released in spring 2013, CHQR ranks as the third most popular radio station overall and the second most popular AM station in the Calgary area.
