This weekend the Days Inn in Bridgewater is the host location for this year’s Hiking Summit. This year’s event is co-hosted by Hike Nova Scotia and Lunenburg County Hikers. I love these loan programs. I took advantage of one in the winter. I rented out some snowshoes!!Once again MODL has their summer Equipment Loan program happening. How does it work:They offer 4-day loan periods, Tuesday-Friday or Friday-Tuesday. Loan request must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Equipment is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Pick-up/Drop-off time and location will be scheduled at time of booking. You will be required to provide contact information upon booking.

Soon when you walk into your local Canadian Tire, you will see some familiar stripes that you associate with Hudson’s Bay Company. Canadian Tire announced that it has entered into an agreement to buy the rights to become the owner of the intellectual property of the Hudson’s Bay Company. This includes the HBC Stripes and various company names, logos, designs, coat of arms and brand trademarks. The purchase price is $30 million.
