Two people are facing impaired driving charges after separate traffic complaints in Lennox and Addington County over the weekend. On Saturday, April 12, 2025, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received 11 calls about a vehicle crashing into guardrails and the median on Highway 401. Officers found the vehicle and arrested the driver, 26-year-old Antoine Charbonneau from Saint-Alexandre, Quebec.

The South East Health Unit (SEHU) is warning the public of new measles exposures in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties. On April 4, 2025, exposures occurred at Foodland in Picton (11 a.m. to 1:20 p.m.) and Gillingham Brewing Company in Bloomfield (3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.). A third exposure took place at Red’s Diner in Trenton on April 6, 2025 (10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.).

A 19-year-old driver was arrested early Wednesday morning following a RIDE program conducted by Prince Edward County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). Officers set up a checkpoint on Highway 62 at around 2:15 a.m. on April 9, 2025, using an Approved Screening Device. The driver, Isaiah Traore of Prince Edward County, was arrested and taken to the detachment for further testing.
