The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office has announced that it is searching for additional victims from vehicle break-ins and thefts from vehicles during the hours of yesterday, Friday night into early today, Saturday morning, in the Rossville area. The Sheriff’s Office reported that a suspect is in custody. Communitt members should contact detective Mark Pinkard at 765-670-8761 if they are a victim or have any additional information.

The Frankfort Police Department released its first quarter crime report that showcases a reduction in crime and an increase in warnings and citations. The department reported that overall crime, based on the Uniform Crime Report, is down 26% compared to the first quarter, spanning January through March, last year.

The Boone County Solid Waste Management District has announced the next upcoming workshop in its five-part education series based around teaching community members about their role in protecting the local environment. The program is open to school-age kids through adult ages. The programs are set to occur at the Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library in Zionsville. All attendees of the April 21 workshop will receive items to take home to make composting easier at their residence.

The Witham Health Services Foundation recently received a generous contribution made in loving memory of longtime Lebanon residents Dr. James and Jean McAfee, and the foundation honored the pair with a memorial bench that was placed outside of the North Pavilion Entrance at Witham Health Services in Lebanon to honor their memory. Dr. James McAfee was a graduate of Lebanon High School and attended Purdue University Pharmacy School.

The Arc of Indiana, in partnership with CareSource, has announced the launch of the 2025 Advocacy Network that is led by eight self-advocates from around the state. The Arc of Greater Boone County is seeking 100 people to participate in weekly, remote learning sessions where they will learn about leadership in their own lives as well as self-advocacy and advocacy for others with disabilities.
