Established in 1997 by Ralph Martin, the company is currently located in Montgomery, Alabama, having relocated from Birmingham in September 2011. CNHI, LLC is funded by the Retirement Systems of Alabama and operates as its subsidiary.

The Tribune-Star (Terre Haute) won the Blue Ribbon Award as Indiana’s best daily newspaper and The Herald Bulletin (Anderson) won the general excellence award in the large daily division Friday at the annual Hoosier State Press Association journalism awards luncheon.

Heather Ruotolo, a Tahlequah Daily Press employee for nearly 12 years, has been named publisher of the newspaper, according to Terry Connor, CNHI regional executive for Oklahoma and other states. Ruotolo began her career at TDP in 2013, starting in customer services as classified clerk. Since that time, she has served as circulation manager, a sales executive, advertising director and most recently, general manager.

Longtime Press-Republican executive Scott Bresett has been promoted to general manager of the newspaper. Bresett has worked at the Press-Republican for 25 years in a variety of roles. That doesn’t include the five years as a youth carrier in his native Keeseville. “We are excited to promote Scott to general manager,” said Sharon Sorg, executive vice president for newspapers at parent company CNHI.

Veteran newspaper executive Mike Kellogg is returning to Oklahoma as publisher of the Enid News & Eagle. Kellogg is replacing longtime publisher Jeff Funk, who is retiring after 47 years in the newspaper industry. Funk had been editor or publisher of the News & Eagle since 2001, retiring in 2021 but returning to the role on a temporary basis last summer. Funk will remain on the newspaper’s editorial board.
