We are summering hard here in Florida right now. It’s humid and sunny and it rains everyday at 4pm. ‘Tis the season! I thought I’d share some of my summer favorites today to help get you in the summer mood, too. Here we go… White nails. I am about three years behind on this trend. I had my nails done in white this weekend for the first time ever and I love it! I look so tan! Instant summer on my hands! This super cute summer purse from Amazon.

Bean turned 16 today. Such a milestone birthday. Such an easy person to celebrate! When Bean was little, I used to say to him, “Who are you?” and then he would respond, “Mommy’s WHOOOOOOLE world!” Super big and proud. When Gracie learned to talk, I would say to her, “Who are you?” and she should say, “Mommy’s SUNSHINE!” It’s amazing watching your kids grow up. They continue to be my whole world and the sunshine in my life.

Today was a big day for several reasons. Gracie graduated from middle school. She is headed to high school in the fall, and I am inconsolable. And also completely over the moon excited for her. On Friday, I was so excited to go to work. My entire team took the day off so that they could extend their three-day weekend to a four-day weekend, which meant I had hardly anything on my calendar. Tonight after dinner, Chris and I went to Home Goods to noodle around. How very grown up of us. It was a school night, after all. At least, I think it’s still a school night? Who knows anymore. School ends soon, I know that. It’s that lawless time of the school year when testing has finished, grades have been submitted, and laptops have been turned in. And yet, school is still happening. God bless teachers right now.
