    Friday at Epic was awesome for all the obvious reasons. But it was un-awesome for one reason that was probably not obvious to most of the world. It was the day my teenage daughter turned against me. That’s right, folks. For no apparent reason, Gracie woke up Friday morning and determined I was The Most Obnoxious Person on Earth. I’ve heard of this happening. People say it happens in the blink of an eye. Teenage girls turn on your faster than Jay Z at a Diddy trial.

    The Ministry of Magic section of the park was beautiful, even if the rides weren’t working. It was designed to look like you were on the streets of Paris, and it did not disappoint!The green awning on the right in this next picture is the entrance to the Ministry of Magic ride…There were a few really good looking restaurants in this section that we definitely would have had a meal at if we weren’t still full from lunch.

    When you come out of the portal tunnel, you are IMMEDIATELY IMMERSED in the Super Mario World. I’m not even kidding. I stood there for 10 minutes just looking at everything. It looked like you stepped inside your 1992 TV at a sleepover with your best friend and entered into the world of Mario, Luigi, and Donkey Kong. Once we had our bearings inside the world, we decided to have lunch at The Toadstool Cafe.

    One of the perks of living in Orlando is all the theme parks. We live between Universal and Disney. On cloudy nights, when the cloud coverage makes it easier to hear them, we can hear the fireworks from both parks. Chris and I cut through Universal property to get to the interstate every day when we go to work.

    Yesterday, I had a conversation with some coworkers about the amount of animals in my house. There are many. We recently lost one (RIP Chip the Hamster), but even with that loss, we have two dogs, a bearded dragon, and my kitchen fish, Sue (short for sous chef, of course).
