Cycling UK, which used to be called the Cyclists' Touring Club (CTC), is a charitable organization dedicated to supporting cyclists and encouraging the use of bicycles. It is the largest cycling organization in the UK. Cycling UK works on both national and local levels to advocate for the needs of cyclists, offers various services to its members, and facilitates local groups for community activism and recreational cycling enthusiasts. The CTC was established in the 19th century, initially focusing on amateur road cycling, but it has since expanded its interests to include everyday transportation, commuting, and various types of recreational cycling. Before April 2016, Cycling UK functioned under the CTC brand as the national cycling charity. As of January 2007, the organization was led by news presenter Jon Snow as its president.
